About Metro Manila:

Manila is a great place to start touring the Philippines, many daytrips are available from here.
This busy metropolis, with a magnificent view of Manila Bay and its famed golden sunsets is home to Malacanang Palace, the official residence of the President of the country and one of the most historic structures in the Philippines.
The cultural activity of the city can be enjoyed at: The National Museum of the Philippines, the official repository and guardian of the Philippine cultural, historical and natural heritage.
More attractions can be found in the old city, Intramuros including, Fort Santiago built by the Spanish during their 400 year occupation. This is where many Filipinos were imprisoned during the war.
