BUSUANGA, Palawan: ISLAND HOPPING 2010-2011
An unforgettable destination in the North of Palawan, Busuanga's archipelago is one of the Philippines most beautiful natural wonders with its variety of beaches, cliffs, islands, islets, jungle and corals with some amzing reef and wreck diving. An amazing exotic destination for scuba divers and adventurers.

Explore the South of Busuanga and its hidden lakes, by banca or kayak from Coron Town. Then stay at Sangat Island Reserve, from where you can dive wrecks and explore the area.
Then travel onward to North Busuanga, choosing from two distinctly charming resorts: CLUB PARADISE ISLAND or EL RIO Y MAR BEACH RESORT & SPA.

Scuba divers or snorkellers will especially enjoy this tour as they discover the most diverse and impressive of the archipelago's underwater delights: Coral gardens, hidden lakes, multi-coloured fish, giant turtles, Dugong (sea cows) & around twenty World War II japanese wrecks. This region is the 2nd best wreck diving destination in the world.

In the North lies Calauit Island, populated by Giraffe, Zebra, Calamian Deer and other exotic species.

There are plenty of opportunities to customise the tour if you wish to do more scuba diving. There is plenty of scope for flexibility to customise this tour to suit.
ITINERARY (10 DAYS/ 9 NIGHTS)
Day 1-3:
MANILA/ SOUTH BUSUANGA: Flight Manila/Busuanga. Transfer to Coron Town (2 hours jeepney ride). Check in at Princess of Coron Hotel (or alternative if full). Lunch. PM, visit the surroundings: Dinner and overnight.

Coron Town: Breakfast. Whole day tour by banca ( Outrigger boat) to the lake, hotsprings and kayaking. Picnic lunch.

Various possible activities discovering Coron town and its hot springs, swimming, snorkelling, etc. include: Beach Kayak along the cliffs, from beaches to lagoons, snorkeling over multicoloured corals, walk to a lake nestled in the middle of the cliffs, swimming.

Dinner and overnight.
Day 2-6:
Check-in at, Sangat Island Reserve: (45 minutes banca ride)

Various activities, island hopping, Snorkelling (Or scuba diving by arrangement) over WWII Japanese wrecks bottomed in the middle of the multi-colored coral garden. Picnic lunch.
Day 7-9:
BEACH HOLIDAYS. NORTH BUSUANGA: Breakfast. Banca ride to Coron Town then 4 hour Jeepney ride from South to North Busuanga ( via Busuangas small airport). Arrival at a beach resort. Lunch, afternoon free, dinner and overnight in bungalows by the beach.

Fullboard holidays in one of these lovely resorts for as many days as you wish (recommended 3 nights). Optional activities include island hopping, jungle hiking, or daytour to nearby Calauit Island Reserve to see Zebra Giraffe in their own natural environment. (small fee to be paid on site).
Day 10:
BUSUANGA/ MANILA: Breakfast. Transfer to Busuanga airport. Flight Busuanga/Manila.
OUR 2 CHOICES OF ACCOMMODATION IN NORTH BUSUANGA:
1/ CLUB PARADISE ISLAND RESORT (North Busuanga): Luxury and relaxation. The most important and most luxurious resort in Busuanga: 60 air-conditioned rooms on Dimakya's private island with its powdery white sand beach. Maximum comfort in the tropics. Restaurant, bar, game room, swimming pool, spa offering massages, fitness programs, etc. Numerous water and sport activities: diving, yachting, hobiecat sailing, windsurfing, kayak, waterski, banana boat, etc.

Superb coral reef right off the beach, you can snorkel just in front of your bungalow. The diveshop is common with El Rio y Mar. Home is here to the Dugong, a marine biologist specialises in the study and preservation of these amazing creatures.

2/ EL RIO Y MAR BEACH RESORT & SPA (North Busuanga): Sport and relaxation. This is the annexe of Club Paradise, more intimate with 15 very comfortable air-conditioned rooms. Spacious beachfront bungalows, between the sea and the mangroves.

Charm and comfort with the ideal ambiance for a honeymoon. All the amenities of a big hotel in a small structure: Restaurant, floating bar, swimming pool, massage. Same multi-watersport activities and diving as Club Paradise.

Note: white sand beach with corals at the beach front. You have to take a boat or a kayak for snorkelling.

Each of the 2 centres offers snorkelling activities, island hopping tours by boat, or an excursion to the famous Calauit Wildlife Sanctuary (whole day) to be paid on site.

Includes: all transportation (land and sea) in Busuanga, nights at Sangat island are fullboard with beach kayak at your disposal and all excursions by bancas, fullboard in the resort of your choice in North Busuanga.

Not included: drinks, activities in the selected resort. It is also possible to combine this vacation with Pandan Island, Apo Reef or El Nido by private boat. DIVING at CLUB PARADISE/EL RIO Y MAR: English/German PADI center.

The transfer from coron town to Club Paradise or El Rio Y Mar, takes about 4 hours. 1 hour from town to airport, 1,5 waiting and 1,5 hour to club paradise or el rio y mar.

Sangat Island Reserve has10 native style bungalows, environmentally friendly, between jungle and beach. For divers, the advantage of Sangat is that its English PADI Diving Center is right in the heart of the wreck area.

Sangat has also some alternative accommodation: - Villa Lambingan, a charming bungalow with 2 rooms on 3 levels, on its own private beach, wooden pathway along the cliffs to reach the resort beach located 3mins away. Ideal for a family or a group of friends looking for privacy in an exotic midst

- Le chalet Hilltop: a big room overlooking the resort, ideal for honeymoon couple.

- The M/Y Ky-Li-Tan, a small motorized yacht with 2 comfortable cabins is available upon request, fullboard with unlimited local drinks and unlimited diving package (weights + tanks + guide). Minimum 2 pax for the exclusive charter, maximum 4 pax for comfort. Price on request.

- Diving in Sangat: with weights + tank + boat + guide. (Supplement for Nitrox). (Supplement for equipment rental to be paid on site, for info, supplement for full equipment:).

Shower water may be brackish, electricity is by local generator and may be limited at times. In your luggage, don't forget: a mask & a snorkel, shoes or sandals for walking in the water; and sun protection! Travel light. Best season for Busuanga: from October to June (and especially February, March and April).

Some accommodation in Coron Town are small properties and may be full, in which case we use alternatives.
